Christmas panto is heading back to King’s Head Theatre with a fabulous Drag Race twist. Victoria Scone and River Medway are among the first names announced for Dick Whittington and His Cat, with a family production and a strictly grown-up Dick Whittington: Adults Only running across the festive season.
Victoria Scone and River Medway join the cast
RuPaul’s Drag Race UK favourite Victoria Scone returns to King’s Head Theatre as Dragpuss, while River Medway makes her King’s Head Theatre debut as Queen Rat.
Writer and director Andrew Pollard also returns for a third year, following his Best Writer win at the 2026 UK Pantomime Awards.

The main production brings the classic tale of Dick Whittington to Islington for Christmas 2026, running from 22 November 2026 to 3 January 2027. Expect show-stopping musical numbers, festive panto fun and a London-set adventure for the whole family.

Golden Bells Pay It Forward
The theatre’s Golden Bells Pay It Forward scheme is returning too, helping local children experience pantomime for free. According to the theatre’s announcement, more than 2,250 free school visits have been provided over the previous two years.
