Little Shop of Horrors is heading back to the stage in a major 2026 revival from Hope Mill Theatre and Liverpool Playhouse. The cult musical combines Alan Menken and Howard Ashman’s irresistible score with romance, dark comedy and one extremely hungry plant.
Latest update – 20 August 2026: a brand-new Little Shop Megamix has brought the full company together for the first time, with new studio footage offering a first look and listen at the revival. The September performances at Manchester’s Hope Mill Theatre are sold out, while the Liverpool Playhouse run is selling fast.

Overview
Presented by Thomas Hopkins Productions and Hope Mill Theatre, the revival takes audiences back to Skid Row for the story of Seymour, Audrey and the increasingly dangerous Audrey II. The musical features music by Alan Menken and book and lyrics by Howard Ashman.
Cast
Maisie Smith makes her musical theatre debut as Audrey for the Manchester run at Hope Mill Theatre. Jessie Elland takes over the role of Audrey for the Liverpool Playhouse run.
The company also includes Michael Starke, Ben Yates, Jed Berry, Rio Maye, Gabrielle Davina Smith and Psalms-Nissi Myers-Reid, with Ella Howlett, Joseph Peacock, Nathen Scott and Kai Cameron Jay also featured in the production.
Creative Team
Direction and choreography are by Tony Award and Olivier Award-nominated Carrie-Anne Ingrouille. Morgan Large provides set and costume design, with musical supervision by Paul Schofield, lighting design by Rory Beaton, sound design by Kelsh Buckman-Drage, musical direction by Ben Barrow and casting by Rob Kelly.
Audrey II is brought to life through four specially commissioned puppets created by acclaimed creature maker Robert Allsopp.
First Look: Little Shop Megamix
The newly created Little Shop Megamix follows the production’s journey from its original February announcement through events and appearances, before heading into the studio as the full cast comes together to record the new Megamix. It gives audiences their first glimpse of the company in action as excitement builds for the revival.
Dates / Tour
The production plays Hope Mill Theatre, Manchester throughout September 2026. Those performances are now sold out. The revival then plays Liverpool Playhouse, where tickets are currently selling fast.
