This is the official live experience inspired by the award-winning TV series. Teams race entirely on foot, making decisions about their route while solving challenges and physical puzzles along the way. Your choices — including how you use your virtual budget — affect your final result and place on the leaderboard.
There are no maps and no public transport during the race itself. The idea is to rely on teamwork, observation and quick thinking as you move between three checkpoints.
How Does Race Across the World: The Experience Work?
The experience is split into three legs and normally takes around two to three hours to complete. Teams follow a predetermined overall route but make their own choices between checkpoints, solving clues and puzzles along the way.
Your final leaderboard result is influenced by your time and remaining virtual funds, so racing fastest is not necessarily the only strategy.
City of London Route
The City of London experience begins around Liverpool Street and covers approximately 5 km (3.1 miles). It is designed as a walking adventure through the City, mixing well-known landmarks with less obvious corners of London.
Teams can take optional breaks at partner venues along the route, so it does not have to feel like an all-out sprint from beginning to end.
West End Route
The West End version is a separate London race taking teams through areas including Soho, Covent Garden and Mayfair. It features three checkpoints, new physical puzzles and a different set of city secrets to uncover.
This route could be particularly handy if you are planning a wider West End day out, as it is easy to combine with food, shopping or a theatre trip before or afterwards.
Who Is It Good For?
The experience is suitable for couples, friends, families, birthdays, hen and stag groups, corporate groups and team-building days. Teams are private, so you play with the people in your own booking rather than being placed with strangers.
Teams can contain between two and eight players. Larger groups can book multiple teams and race against each other.
