Wow, what a day it’s been! First off, a massive round of applause to everyone who took part in the London Marathon 2013 👏. I loved seeing so many runners showing solidarity with the #BostonMarathon just days after the tragic events of the Boston bombing. My heart goes out to everyone affected, and I wish you all healing and strength. 💙
We were based near Mile 6 in Greenwich, and let’s just say… I cheered so much I practically lost my voice! My friends were probably grateful for the peace, although it didn’t last long 😄.
Once the runners had passed, we headed to Costa for a delicious hot chocolate with all the trimmings: whipped cream, marshmallows, and chocolate dusting—yum! I also couldn’t resist a cheeky brownie bar… it was one of those days! 😋

Exploring Greenwich Market 🎨🛍
With bellies full and spirits high, we wandered through Greenwich Market, where I met some fabulous small business owners who truly made my day.
💖 Pink Pamper Parlour – Brows & Beauty with Puja Patel
I have to shout out Puja Patel, the brow queen behind Pink Pamper Parlour. Puja is AMAZING at threading—so much so, she’s converted me from my usual (cheaper) spot. She reassured me that proper threading shouldn’t hurt or leave you with red dots or raw skin.
And she was right. My brows? Absolute perfection. I also had them tinted for more definition, and honestly, I’m obsessed 😍. I’ll be going back to book a retro hair and makeup session!
Also, I’m wearing her petroleum-free pink lip gloss in my final photo from the day—my lips felt so much softer after just one day. Win!
💅 The Glass Nail File – Nail TLC with Elaine
Next, we met the lovely Elaine at the Glass Nail File stand. I learned so much! Traditional emery boards are much harsher on nails and wear out quickly. Elaine handed me a tester glass file that looked brand new, and it was two years old! 🤯
I’ve got my eye on one of the blingy ones next time (because who doesn’t want a glam nail file?). You can follow her on:

🌿 Natural Skincare Finds – Christina Gale’s Gorgeous Goodies
Lastly, we chatted with Christina Gale, who introduced us to some natural, skin-reviving products:
- Puriskin Resurfacing Formula – Think boosted circulation, firmer skin, and long-term smoothing. Made with Locust Bean Gum and essential oils.
- Acuregen Firm & Lift Serum – Packed with tiger grass and comfrey plant, it’s targeted for scars, stretch marks, and uneven skin tone.
- And of course, I picked up another It Works! lip gloss—lovely pink, smells divine, no petroleum, and moisturises.
While exploring Greenwich Market, it’s worth noting that the area isn’t just great for shopping—there’s also a thriving arts scene! If you’re planning a visit, don’t miss what’s on at Greenwich Theatre, a local gem showcasing brilliant performances year-round.
