Little Dancer, the new musical inspired by Marie van Goethem and Edgar Degas, comes to Theatre Royal Haymarket for a strictly limited six-week London season from 15 February to 27 March 2027 before a planned world tour.
Cast
- Tiler Peck — Young Marie
- Julian Ovenden — Edgar Degas
- Laura Pitt-Pulford — Adult Marie
- Josefina Gabrielle — Martine
Tiler Peck is currently scheduled to appear through 20 March 2027. As with any casting, appearance is subject to the production’s terms, so check the live listing for the date you want to attend.
What is Little Dancer about?
The musical tells the story of Marie van Goethem, the young dancer who modelled for Degas and became the figure at the centre of his famous sculpture. Set in Belle Époque Paris, it looks at art, ambition, class and the life of the girl behind an image that has survived far longer than the details of her own story.
The show is written by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, with direction and choreography by Susan Stroman.

Accessibility
Theatre Royal Haymarket lists wheelchair spaces in the Stalls, step-free access to the Stalls via an alternative entrance, accessible seating for patrons with mobility, hearing or visual access needs, and an infra-red headset system. Access seats and wheelchair spaces are booked directly with the theatre rather than through the standard online booking flow. The theatre also accepts an Access Card or its own free Digital Access Pass, and limited essential-companion tickets are available subject to its current access policy.
For Little Dancer, the theatre currently lists both an audio-described performance and a captioned performance as date to be confirmed. No confirmed BSL or relaxed performance was listed at the time of this update, so those should not be assumed.
Tickets
Tickets are currently available from £25 through Theatre Royal Haymarket, which remains the clearest official booking route for this draft. ATG also lists the production as a ticket agent but explicitly notes that Theatre Royal Haymarket is not an ATG-operated venue. No tracked Clarissa’s Corner affiliate URL was verified during this QA pass, so I have not added or invented one.

For more current West End coverage, browse Theatre & Culture, and for date-led planning use the What’s On Calendar. I also have archive coverage from Theatre Royal Haymarket if you want more venue context. Because this production is rooted in the real Marie van Goethem and Degas rather than a book adaptation, I’m keeping it out of From Covers to Curtains.
