Owl Fashion, Filofax & Summer Style
Back in 2013 I was completely obsessed with owl fashion, stationery and accessories. I had also recently decided to bring a Filofax into my life to help keep me organised, while making it colourful and fun at the same time.
My Filofax Finds
Over Easter I had been given a Thornton’s egg and loved the card so much that I turned it into a Filofax divider. I was also collecting sticky tabs from Ryman, owl notepads from the 99p shop and owl laptop stickers from the pound shop.
Summer Fashion in 2013
I wasn’t especially adventurous with fashion at the time, but I was trying to add more colour. I loved watching style shows with Trinny and Susannah and Gok Wan, and I was keen to experiment with both bold and pastel shades for summer.
Primark was one of my go-to places for inexpensive basics, especially colourful vest tops. This section is kept as an archive snapshot, so prices and ranges mentioned in the original 2013 post are no longer current shopping information.
2026 Archive Update

Hello, great post – I love the owls to and was looking into how to make my own owl door stoppers as they were going for £15 on eBay but didn’t look that complicated. I have been procrastinating though so not got around to it yet :-/.
I am not a great follower of fashion as I tend to buy what flatters by figure rather than what is fashionable. I so love Gok though! Thanks for letting me know what is in fashion though as I am sure I can dig out some bold colours and pastels from what I already have in the back of the wardrobe :-).
