Archive note: This Summer Cool Outfit Makeup post is preserved from 2013 as part of the Clarissa’s Corner style archive. It reflects the colours, high-street fashion and beauty inspiration I was enjoying at the time rather than current product recommendations.
Summer Cool Outfit Makeup – 2013 Style Inspiration
The original idea was an easy summer look built around mint green and coral. I paired a dip-dye coral jumper with nude court shoes and a simple gold bangle. Looking back, it is very much a snapshot of the early-2010s colour palette I loved.
I still like the basic idea behind it: let one or two colours do the work and keep the rest of the outfit simple. The coral gives the look warmth, while the mint keeps it light enough for summer.
The Natural Summer Makeup Look
For the makeup, I pictured nude lips, a soft blush and a little colour around the eyes. It was meant to feel fresh rather than heavy, with the makeup supporting the outfit instead of competing with it.
This also links nicely with my Summer Eye Makeup Looks guest post from the same era, so together they give a better picture of the beauty styles appearing on the blog at the time.

Where I Shopped in 2013
At the time I was looking at brands including Rimmel, Benefit, Avon and New Look. Product ranges, prices and availability have changed a lot since then, so these names are kept here as historical references rather than current buying advice.
Looking Back at My 2013 Style
The fun part of keeping posts like this is seeing how personal style changes. Some pieces feel very tied to their era, while other ideas still make sense years later. The colour combination here is one of those: coral, mint and nude are easy to understand even if the exact clothes have long disappeared from the shops.

Really loving your blog at the moment so I have nominated you for a Liebster Award for great up and coming blogs. Check out all the rules and things here.
