Jack v Giant is an updated version of Jack and the Beanstalk.
We learn about Jack and her father. Did you know he was a miner?
Jack also had Daisy the cow, who mooted a lot; the monkey said Daisy’s first moo made her jump.
Watching the show with the monkey was a first in a while, and she had a fun time; when it came to the Big Man reveal, she giggled loudly when he shook his butt.
The story had some lovely songs and a very clever stage set-up, with the lights making the beanstalk stand out. The use of puppetry for Jack and the big man on the stalk was brilliant, and the smoke for the clouds was a nice touch.
Evie said she liked how Daisy was on the screen and the beanstalk glowed. The surprise in the middle was fun.
Overall, it was an excellent show,
and the actors were very clever;
I felt I had maybe seen Henry Regan (who played Dad) in other shows before,
with excellent vocals and expressions.
Monkey said it was good to watch, and the lights were so cool, and the giant was funny
