What is Fourteen Again about?
Peggy is recently divorced and feeling lost when a reunion with her long-lost childhood best friend Lou sends her back towards the trials and triumphs of their teenage years. Then memory becomes reality and Peggy wakes up literally fourteen again, forcing her to revisit old choices if she wants to find her way back to the present.
The show features songs associated with Victoria Wood and a book by Tom MacRae, writer of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie. It arrives in London following its sell-out world premiere in Bowness-on-Windermere.
Cast and creative team
Ria Jones plays Lou and Sally Ann Triplett plays Peggy, with Jayne Ashley covering Peggy/Lou. Jonathan O’Boyle directs, with choreography by Sammy Murray, musical supervision, arrangements and co-orchestration by Nigel Lilley, set design by Roger Glossop, costume design by Caroline Hughes, lighting by Jason Taylor, sound by Sam Glossop and musical direction/co-orchestration by Archie McMorran.
Ticket prices and booking
Preview tickets are currently £35. For the main run, listed prices are £49.50 Premier, £45 Standard and £35 Restricted View, Access and Concessions, plus a minimum 75p per-ticket booking fee. Prices and availability can change.
Accessibility
The Menier lists a limited number of £35 access and concession tickets per performance and can offer a complimentary carer ticket to paid carers when arranged with the box office. A closed-caption performance is scheduled for Thursday 11 February 2027 at 7.30pm, with captions delivered to a phone or device via Difference Engine. Contact the box office in advance for access tickets and requirements.
