The Hackney Empire 25/26 Season offers a powerhouse of performances running from June 2025 to March 2026. Highlights include the return of Carlos Acosta’s Nutcracker in Havana, The Blessing for Windrush Day, and a dynamic new orchestral season with the City of London Sinfonia. It’s theatre, music, and storytelling in its most exciting form.

What to Expect
🌟 The Blessing: Power of Community
Taking place on 22 June 2025 to mark Windrush Day and Refugee Week, this uplifting event will feature R&B and soul legend Terri Walker, mass choirs, drumming, spoken word and steel pan magic. All proceeds go to support engagement programmes.
🎻 City of London Sinfonia’s New Frontiers Season
From Jurassic Park and Moana to Rimsky-Korsakov, Messiaen, and a space opera inspired by NASA data, this four-concert series (Sept 2025–March 2026) includes immersive shows at both Hackney Empire and Hackney Church.
🩰 Carlos Acosta’s Nutcracker in Havana
From 4–6 November 2025, Acosta Danza brings a fresh Cuban twist to the festive classic, complete with Tchaikovsky’s score and sizzling choreography.
