Emily Ash Trust & Happy Badger Donation – 2013 Archive

Happy Badger Donation

In 2013, AO.com’s Happy Badger campaign encouraged bloggers to talk about charities that mattered to them, with the opportunity for a £50 donation. I chose the Emily Ash Trust.

Why I Chose the Emily Ash Trust

The charity had supported families facing childhood and teenage cancer, including my own family, so this was a very personal choice. The original post described the practical and emotional support available to families, including days out, family activities, holiday accommodation and treats designed to make difficult periods a little easier.

2026 Archive Update

This page is preserved as a record of the 2013 campaign and of the support the Emily Ash Trust provided to families at that time. Specific programmes, partnerships and fundraising opportunities mentioned in the original post may have changed, so current information should always be checked directly with the charity.

  1. Aw what an amazing charity – I spent some time in hospital as a teen and I remember getting chocolate at Easter and presents at Christmas and it was amazing to think someone who didn’t know you was thinking of you.
I’m so glad to hear both your Mother and sister are better, long may it continue and lets hope the rest of their lives is happy and healthy for them both.

    1. Hello Gaynor,
Oh my gosh I do hope that you get better soon, it is so unfair.
I feel so sad that there are so many people that can relate to my story, I suppose in a way it is a way to connect and support one another.
I will update when I find out more information on this.. thank you for your interest and your comment, I do wish you love and happiness x
