The Healing Industry by Malik Nashad Sharpe: 2025 New Dimensions Commission
New Dimensions has announced that The Healing Industry by award-winning choreographer and movement director Malik Nashad Sharpe, is the recipient of the 2025 commission. This radical new work, blending dance and live art, will premiere in Autumn 2027 before touring across the UK and internationally.
Fusing contemporary ballet, Butoh, Black social dances, and Caribbean riddims, the piece is inspired by horror in film and TV. Featuring nine performers, it promises to be a visceral, spectacular, and unsettling journey into the industrialisation of healing culture.
