Review: Cinderella Christmas panto Greenwich Theatre
It’s that time of the year. Yes, Pantos, come hurrah for Cinderella Christmas panto!
The days become drawn and dark early and chilly, which can mean a few things. Hibernation season kicks back in the evening with a furry onesie and hot chocolate, along with some Christmas films,
Sweaters, hats and gloves, not to mention high socks with riding boots, a must-buy every year!
Not only that but the time for panto
oh no, it isn’t, oh yes, it is so!
when Greenwich Theatre offered me the chance to go and see Cinderella’s Christmas panto!
I was excited to see the monkey and Brandon’s reaction to seeing it.
what we thought of The show
We had decent seats, and Monkey stayed calm. We were greeted by a beautiful fairy,
played by Michelle Hopewell. The bright colours and glitter That caught monkey’s eye, and she was interested
The pantomime was fantastically executed and even when there were slip-ups it made it more endearing and funny. I have to say I had a soft spot for James Keningale, who plays Buttons, such a kind and loving friend to Louise Young, Cinderella or shall we say, Ella.
KK and I were hoping for a switch in a possible outcome that Ella and buttons would fall in love and live happily ever after
The Ugly Sisters
The ugly sisters, played by Anthony Spargo as Kylie And Lizzy Dive as Mylie, was a fantastic pairing and reminded me of several films
and actors, which made it even more enthralling and so much funnier.
I loved how they were like Marmite; you didn’t like them one minute, and the next, you were crying with laughter. I have to say it was a close tongue-in-cheek where it kept adults and children thoroughly entertained
The lighting kept Monkey focused; she especially liked it when the glitter ball spread around the room.
It was a lovely atmosphere, and even more so, Monkey was relaxed.
A must-see Panto I don’t know why I let the banner add put me off as It’s brilliant
