Archive review: I attended the Joolz Day2 Event Blackheath in October 2016 as an invited guest. This post preserves my original experience of trying the Joolz Day2 pushchair, looking around the nursery and baby accessories, and deciding whether the premium price felt worth it for our family.
The Blackheath event was close enough for us to get to easily, and I also got to catch up with my friend Naomi and little Lola. The setup included Joolz pushchairs, nursery furniture, bedding and baby accessories, with the team there to demonstrate the range.
Evie was able to sit in the Joolz Day2 and looked cosy and comfortable. I liked the height of the seat and how easy the pushchair felt to manoeuvre. My biggest hesitation was practical: although it folded down well, I tend to carry quite a lot in the car boot, and the price placed it firmly in the luxury category for me.
Joolz Day2 Event Blackheath: First Impressions
The event had a polished, premium feel. Parents could look around the different Joolz products, try the pushchairs and see the nursery pieces up close. I particularly liked the cot and bedding displays, which looked beautifully put together.
Trying the Joolz Day2 Pushchair
The Joolz Day2 felt smooth and easy to push. The frame and fabrics felt well made, and Evie looked comfortable in the seat. I also liked that she sat at a good height, which gave her a better view of what was going on around her.
What I liked
- It felt smooth and easy to manoeuvre.
- The materials and finish felt premium.
- Evie looked comfortable and secure.
- The design was stylish without feeling overly fussy.
- The seat height was a feature I particularly liked.
What made me hesitate
- The Joolz Day2 was expensive and sat well outside my own buggy budget.
- Although it folded down well, I still had to think about how much else I normally carried in the car boot.
Nursery Styling and Baby Bags
The pushchairs were not the only thing that caught my eye. The nursery furniture, cot bedding and changing bags were also beautifully styled. The bags especially appealed to me because they managed to look more like fashion accessories than traditional changing bags.
The goodie bag included baby items and cot bedding. As we did not need everything ourselves, I planned to pass some of it on to a friend who was expecting a baby. That made the gift feel useful rather than simply becoming more stuff in the house.
Was the Joolz Day2 Worth It?
For me, the answer came down to budget. I genuinely liked the pushchair. It looked good, felt smooth to use and Evie was comfortable in it. However, I would not have bought one at the price it sat at in 2016.
For someone specifically looking for a premium pushchair and happy to spend more for the design, finish and feel, I could see the appeal. My own priorities were more practical, so I would have looked for a more affordable option.
Looking Back at the 2016 Event
This is now an archive review rather than a current buying guide. Pushchair models, specifications and prices have changed since 2016, so I would always check current information before buying. What remains useful here is my first-hand experience of the event and what stood out to me when I tried the Joolz Day2 in person.
