Archive note: This The Choir of Man review records my visit to the West End production at the Arts Theatre in 2022. I’ve preserved my original experience and reactions while updating the page so it works as part of the Clarissa’s Corner theatre archive.

The Choir of Man at the Arts Theatre
The Choir of Man is built around a group of men gathering in their local pub, The Jungle. The pub becomes the setting for songs, stories, friendship and a much bigger conversation about men looking out for one another.
Music, Vocals and The Jungle
The cast’s vocal talent blew me away. Each song fitted a different part of their characters’ lives and helped pull the audience further into the world of The Jungle.
The soundtrack ranges across artists including Queen, Luther Vandross, Sia, Paul Simon, Adele, Guns N’ Roses, Avicii and Katy Perry, with the nine performers combining singing, musicianship and storytelling live on stage.
Audience Interaction
The interaction with the audience was brilliant. It felt immersive and as though we were genuinely part of the pub rather than simply watching from our seats.
I loved watching the show and couldn’t stop smiling. There was also a moment that brought a tear to my eye; some of the songs really do hit you in the feels.
I wish I had taken the opportunity to go up on stage and grab a pint before the show properly started.

Why The Choir of Man Stood Out
For me, The Choir of Man worked because the feel-good atmosphere had a genuine message underneath it. The show celebrates male friendship, checking in on each other and pushing back against the pressures of toxic masculinity.
The vocals and dancing were terrific, and a tap-dance sequence gave me a little Billy Elliot feeling and genuinely took my breath away.
The Choir of Man is high-energy, warm and packed with feel-good moments — the sort of show that makes you want to grab a pint and join the sing-along.
The Choir of Man – Current Information
As of August 2026, the London run is not currently playing and the production is touring the UK. The official website lists the latest venues, dates and ticket information. The show runs for approximately 90 minutes without an interval and is recommended for ages 6+.
