Who’s Holiday
It was a cold evening
when we all gathered in a small auditorium.
The stage was very intimate and had very few seats.
The setting was a trailer decorated near a lake; it felt cosy for those who might have been living there.
The lights dimmed down,
and the show’s star came on stage. We were introduced to Cindy Lou Who
but not how you would know it!
You see, many years had passed on this sweet Who,
full of twists and turns!
My heart was happy and sad,
and then I got mad but in the end,
I was unbelievably glad!
The Grinch is one of my favourite movies, so I wanted to see how things had progressed!
The Grinch?
Well, what a shock! With what Cindy Lou Who had told us,
she was alone at home in her trailer park with nothing but a Christmas tree to be had!
You see, this show, I can tell you, shows love and heartbreak,
with the pill-popping and the alcohol taboot
This show isn’t for kids,
that’s fair to say,
it was a riot when Cindy got poor Mickey up on stage!
He was dressed in his festive finery and smiled all around.
we laughed and giggled,
He was sent back into the crowd.
Phone call after phone call and knocks at the door Cindy Lou Who was preparing for a party
but the end will make you see the value in small things.
Cindy Lou Who pulled that show off with a win!
Miz Cracker from Ru Paul’s Drag Race amazed me with her one-woman show, she never faltered and had us all on the go!
A very different turnout of events. I loved the set-up and the decor. It was fun.
Not how I thought things would have gone for a Who in Who Ville,
where all that was love and Christmas to rejoice. I’m glad I was a part of the audience!
