November is going underwater on STUDIOCANAL PRESENTS, and I am very much here for the combination of sharks, deep-sea monsters and classic sci-fi. The streaming service’s latest monthly selection brings together creature-feature chills, two film documentaries and a handful of very different dramas.
What’s new on STUDIOCANAL PRESENTS in November 2026?
Deepstar Six (1988)
Directed by Friday the 13th filmmaker Sean S. Cunningham, this underwater sci-fi horror follows an expedition that accidentally releases a monstrous creature from the depths. Miguel Ferrer and Cindy Pickett star. One for anyone who likes their creature features claustrophobic and gloriously eighties.
Something in the Water (2024)
A wedding trip turns into a fight for survival when a group of women encounter a shark. Directed by Hayley Easton Street and starring Hiftu Quasem, this is the more contemporary, bloody survival-thriller option.
STUDIOCANAL PRESENTS… Deep Blue Horror (2026)
Critic and podcaster Anna Bogutskaya explores aquatic creature horror in a new documentary. An intriguing companion watch to the two films above, especially if the genre’s appeal goes well beyond Jaws for you.
STUDIOCANAL PRESENTS… Aliens Invasion Earth! (2026)
From Daleks to Martians, this documentary looks at cinema’s fascination with extraterrestrial invaders and humanity under threat.
Accident (1967)
For a change of pace, Dirk Bogarde stars alongside Stanley Baker and Jacqueline Sassard in Joseph Losey’s acclaimed drama, scripted by Harold Pinter.
Surf Therapy (2016)
This ten-part drama series follows a troubled teenager whose life changes when he joins his godfather’s surf camp in Morocco.
