First-look production images have been released for Edward Albee’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, now playing at @sohoplace in London.
Gillian Anderson stars as Martha opposite Billy Crudup as George in Marianne Elliott’s new in-the-round production, with Josh Dylan as Nick and Phoebe Horn as Honey.
A first look at the @sohoplace production
The newly released production photography by Johan Persson offers a first proper look at the four-person cast on stage. Staged in the round, the revival places the audience close to the escalating games, arguments and uncomfortable truths at the centre of Albee’s play.
The action begins in the early hours of the morning after Martha invites new professor Nick and his wife Honey back to the home she shares with George. As the drinks continue, the younger couple become caught up in George and Martha’s volatile relationship and the night moves towards a devastating confrontation.
Who is in the cast?
