You & It, South Korea’s award-winning musical about love, grief and artificial intelligence, is now playing a limited London season at King’s Head Theatre in Islington.
Following acclaimed runs in Asia and at the Edinburgh Fringe, the intimate two-hander stars Olivier Award nominee Frances Mayli McCann and Zachary Pang. At the centre of the story is a grieving widower who comes face to face with an AI created in the image of his late wife — raising a question that feels increasingly less like science fiction: if technology could recreate someone you had lost, would you want it to?
Latest Update
You & It is playing in the Main House at King’s Head Theatre until 26 September 2026. Current performance times vary, so it is worth checking the theatre’s live booking page before travelling.
Overview
Written by Seoeun Oh and Q Lee, You & It follows Gyujin, a widower struggling with grief, memory and the loss of his wife. His world changes when he encounters Mina: an artificial intelligence built in her image.
The musical explores what happens when technology becomes tangled up with mourning. Rather than treating AI simply as a futuristic gimmick, the story uses it to ask questions about love, memory, identity and whether recreating someone can ever truly bring them back.
The production won Best Musical at the Daegu International Musical Festival and arrives in London following sold-out acclaim across Asia and an Edinburgh Fringe run.

Why See It?
You & It sits in a particularly interesting corner of musical theatre: intimate rather than huge, emotionally driven rather than spectacle-led, and built around a subject that is becoming more relevant by the month.
If you enjoy theatre that mixes romance with darker questions about grief, memory and technology, this is one to have on the radar. The fact that it is a two-hander also puts the focus firmly on the relationship between Mina and Gyujin rather than burying the story beneath a large ensemble.
