Tucked just a short walk from Bromley South station, the Churchill Theatre Bromley is one of my favourite local venues.
Not only does it host touring West End productions, but it also welcomes family shows, comedy nights, and special events. As a result, there is always something worth seeing.
Better still, you get all the excitement of live theatre without the stress or cost of travelling to central London. Plus, the Glades shopping centre is right next door, so it’s easy to turn your visit into a full day out.

If you’re going to pick just one, Emma Kenny’s Killer Couples is my standout for anyone who loves true crime and a slightly darker night out. For families, In The Night Garden Live is the obvious half-term shout, and for a bit of nostalgic fun, you can’t beat Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Nearest station: Bromley South (around 5 minutes’ walk) — easy from London Victoria in about 15 minutes.
Parking: The Glades multi-storey car park is right next door — handy and well-lit.
Food and drink nearby: The Glades has loads of options for a pre-theatre bite, plus there are great independent spots along Bromley High Street. The theatre itself has a bar serving drinks and snacks before the show and during the interval.
Make a day of it: Pair your theatre trip with a wander around Church House Gardens, a browse around The Glades, or a proper Sunday lunch nearby.
