Janette Manrara Joins CHICAGO
anette Manrara is stepping into the world of musical theatre as she takes on the iconic role of Roxie Hart in the CHICAGO UK Tour. Best known for her time on Strictly Come Dancing, Janette is making her musical theatre debut in this multi-award-winning show. Her journey as Roxie Hart begins at Cliffs Pavilion, Southend, on Monday 3 March 2025.

Sharing her excitement about starring in the CHICAGO UK Tour, Janette said:
“This is a dream come true! To have my musical theatre debut be playing the iconic Roxie Hart is so exciting. She is a beautifully complex character, and I cannot wait to bring my ‘Roxie’ to the stage. I truly look forward to working with the incredible cast and the whole team of one of the best musicals of all time. Looking forward to seeing everyone and giving them a real ‘razzle dazzle’ of a show!”
Joining Janette in this dazzling production is Djalenga Scott as Velma Kelly, Joshua Lloyd as Amos Hart, and Jordan Lee Davies as Mary Sunshine. Meanwhile, casting for Billy Flynn and Mama Morton is yet to be announced.

I recently saw An Officer and a Gentleman there and loved the atmosphere—it’s a stunning theatre with a fantastic layout.
