Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Light Trail is coming to Arley Hall & Gardens in Cheshire from 22 October 2026 to 3 January 2027, bringing Jack Skellington, Sally and Zero into an illuminated woodland trail filled with music, sculptures and scenes inspired by the 1993 film.
Latest ticket update — checked 27 September 2026: Fever’s live booking system is now showing a £0 Free Ticket for children under 3 and carers. That is particularly useful to know if you looked at the event when tickets first appeared and decided the family cost was too high. Some Fever ticket wording is still inconsistent between sessions, so I’d check the live ticket description for your chosen date before paying.

Inside The Nightmare Before Christmas Light Trail

For me, this sits in that lovely crossover between Halloween and Christmas rather than belonging neatly to one season. It opens just before Halloween, but carries on right through Christmas and into the first few days of January.
Tickets and Current Prices
Prices vary by date and session, so don’t assume the first price you see will apply to every evening. When I rechecked the live Fever booking system on 27 September, one selected session was still showing:
- General Admission, age 14+ — £32 plus £3.20 booking fee
- Reduced Fare — £24 plus £2.40 booking fee
- Family Bundle, 4+ tickets — £27.20 per person plus booking fee
- Group Bundle, 4+ tickets — £25.60 per person plus booking fee
- Flex Admission — £48 plus £4.80 booking fee
- Children under 3 — FREE
- Carers — FREE
- Parking — £8 per car
Other sessions are currently showing higher prices, including £38 general admission, £29 reduced fare, £32.30 per person for the family bundle, £30.40 per person for the group bundle and £55 Flex Admission. Treat these as examples rather than fixed event-wide prices and check your actual date before booking.
The Flex ticket currently includes entry at any time on your selected day, 50% off the parking spot and 10% off the merchandise store.
Under-3 and Carer Ticket Update
This is the bit worth highlighting if you saw the event when tickets first launched. Fever is now showing a separate “Free Ticket (Children under 3 and Carers)” at £0.
I’m deliberately saying “now showing” rather than calling the earlier ticket information an error. Fever has not, as far as I can verify, published a statement saying that. There is also still some inconsistent reduced-fare wording on different live booking views, so use the £0 ticket option shown for your chosen session and check the final basket carefully before paying.
Is the Family Bundle Better Value?
The family and group bundles both require at least four tickets. Whether either is the best option for your family depends on the ages in your group and the session you choose, especially now that under-3s have a separate free ticket option. Build your actual party in the booking system before deciding rather than multiplying the headline adult price.
Accessibility and Sensory Information
Fever describes this as a natural woodland trail. Although the route is flat, it can be uneven in places, so suitable outdoor footwear is sensible. Wheelchairs are not available to borrow and visitors who need a mobility device are advised to bring their own.
Sensory and lighting: the official event FAQ confirms that strobe lighting is used. The experience also includes changing light levels, bright colours and music.
Companion tickets: one free essential-companion ticket is available per eligible guest. The current FAQ lists an Access Card, PIP award letter or Blue Badge as accepted evidence. If you do not have one of those documents, the organiser asks you to contact them in advance to discuss your circumstances.
Assistance dogs: assistance dogs are welcome at all sessions.
Seating and toilets: there is no seating along the trail itself; seating is available only in the food-and-drink areas. The event FAQ confirms that toilets are available, but it does not currently specify whether an accessible toilet is available for the trail. If an accessible WC is essential for your visit, check directly with the event team before travelling rather than assuming the estate’s daytime facilities apply to the evening trail.
Travelling from London
Arley Hall is in Cheshire rather than London, so this is one to plan as a proper day trip or overnight rather than an impulsive evening out. The venue address is Arley Hall & Gardens, Arley, Northwich, Cheshire, CW9 6NA.
Driving from London can take around three and a half hours in reasonable conditions, but that can change significantly with traffic. If you are considering public transport, rail to the Cheshire/Warrington area followed by a taxi for the final stretch is likely to be more practical than trying to reach the rural estate entirely by public transport. Check live rail times and the last journey home before booking an evening trail slot.
A Very Clarissa’s Corner Kind of Light Trail
Obviously, a Tim Burton-flavoured trail that refuses to choose between spooky season and Christmas was always going to get my attention. If you like the darker side of theatre and film too, have a look at my ScissorHandz: The Musical review — another love letter to the weirdos, outcasts and Burton-esque world.
More Halloween Ideas
If Cheshire is a bit too much of a trek, London has its own illuminated Halloween option at Enchanted Autumn Fest at Morden Park. You can also follow the wider spooky-season plans in Face Your Fears 2026: 31 Days of Halloween.
