Priscilla Queen of the Desert headed out on a UK and Ireland tour in 2026. Based on the Oscar-winning 1994 film, the musical brought its mix of disco, comedy and heart to theatres across the country.
The tour opened at Manchester’s Palace Theatre in February 2026. It then travelled around the UK and Ireland through July.
About Priscilla Queen of the Desert
The musical follows three friends on a road trip across Australia. They travel in a battered but beloved bus named Priscilla.
Along the way, the story explores friendship, love and identity. Meanwhile, the production fills the stage with bold costumes, dance routines and plenty of familiar music.
Creative Team
Ian Talbot OBE directed the 2026 tour, with choreography by Matt Cole. Mark Goucher and Matthew Gale produced the production.
Music
The soundtrack features disco favourites including Hot Stuff, It’s Raining Men and I Will Survive. Audiences can also hear Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and Finally.
