Churchill Theatre Bromley’s 2026 pantomime is Sleeping Beauty — and radio and TV favourite Vernon Kay is heading to Bromley to play the comedy role of Billy.
The festive production is set to be the centrepiece of the theatre’s Christmas season, bringing dazzling costumes, big songs, silly jokes, audience participation and plenty of panto magic to Bromley.
Vernon Kay joins the Churchill panto
Vernon Kay has been announced as Billy, the production’s comedy character. It is a perfect fit for the full panto experience: mischievous humour, big energy and plenty of chances for the audience to join in.
Churchill Theatre’s press team shared the official casting announcement and approved Vernon Kay images in July, so this page can grow into the main home for future cast announcements, rehearsal images, review details and family booking information.
What is Sleeping Beauty about?
The wicked fairy Carabosse places an evil curse on Princess Beauty. After pricking her finger on a spinning wheel, the princess falls into an enchanted sleep.
Can her friends defeat the forces of evil and break the spell before it is too late?
This classic fairy-tale panto promises all the festive ingredients families love: magic, music, colourful characters, a little bit of mischief and a happy ending.
