Eh-oh, London! 👋 Well, here’s something I wasn’t expecting to see pop up this half-term — the Teletubbies are heading to POP MART on Oxford Street, and I’m suddenly feeling very old! 😂
Yep, Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po are making an appearance at POP MART’s new flagship shop on Friday 30 October 2026. Whether you’ve got little ones who love them now or, like me, you remember when they first arrived on our screens, this is a lovely bit of nostalgia.

When and where can you meet the Teletubbies?
- Date: Friday 30 October 2026
- Time: 10:30am–12:30pm according to press reports published on 27 October. The original promotional graphic says 10am, so do check POP MART UK’s latest updates before setting off.
- Where: POP MART flagship store, 149–151 Oxford Street, London
- Tickets: No admission price has been advertised for the appearance, but booking, queues and entry arrangements haven’t been confirmed. Check directly with POP MART UK before travelling.
There should be a chance to see the characters and enjoy a little Teletubbies magic. Just bear in mind that it’s half-term in central London, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s busy!
Wait… the Teletubbies have been around HOW long?!
The Teletubbies first appeared on British television back in 1997. Yes, 1997! I know. How old do we all feel now? 😂
Between the Tubby Custard, their little home in Teletubbyland and that unmistakable ‘Eh-oh!’, they’re one of those childhood programmes you don’t really forget. And somehow they’re still making new generations smile.
So what’s POP MART got to do with it?
If you’ve seen all the excitement around LABUBU and collectible blind boxes, you’ll probably have heard of POP MART. They’re known for designer toys and surprise figures, and they’ve also teamed up with the Teletubbies for collectible ranges.
The Oxford Street appearance is being promoted alongside the POP MART x Teletubbies Afternoon Tea Series. This series was previously released through POP MART’s US store on 13 August 2026, so the Oxford Street promotion is a UK in-store launch moment, not the worldwide debut of a brand-new range. UK prices and in-store stock have not been confirmed. The collectibles are separate purchases, though — meeting the characters doesn’t mean you’re getting free merchandise. Also on the POP MART radar: the Peach Riot x KPop Demon Hunters plush pendant is listed on POP MART’s UK store as coming soon at £21, but a UK release date and time have not been confirmed. The announced US release corresponds to midnight UK time on 30 October; don’t assume that’s the UK launch time. You can have a nose at the official Teletubbies collaborations and POP MART’s UK website if you’re curious.
Monkey and I actually met the Teletubbies!
Now this is the bit that really made me smile. Back in 2017, when the Teletubbies were celebrating their 20th anniversary, Monkey and I had the fantastic opportunity to meet them.
She was so happy — she even said ‘Laa-Laa!’ 🥹 It’s one of those little memories that sticks with you. We were also sharing the Big Hugs DVD around that time, so seeing this new event announcement has sent me straight down memory lane.
And because I’ve been blogging for years, I’ve actually got the video to prove it! Have a watch below. 💜
I’ve got a few more Teletubbies memories tucked away on the blog too, including our Teletubbies Live theatre review, Big Hugs DVD review and Tubby Snowball Christmas review. A proper trip into the Clarissa’s Corner archives!
Heading to Oxford Street?
The new POP MART flagship opened on 23 October at 149–151 Oxford Street, near Berwick Street. Don’t mix it up with the other Oxford Street POP MART at number 262! Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Circus are both nearby Tube stations.
One little heads-up: the event artwork and some map listings show slightly different postcodes, so I’d search for the street number rather than relying on the postcode alone.
Before you go, check POP MART UK or Teletubbies HQ for the latest on timings, queues and any entry arrangements.
Would you go and meet the Teletubbies? Or are you now having the same ‘surely 1997 wasn’t that long ago?!’ moment as me? 😂 Let me know!
Event preview updated 27 October 2026. Our family video is from 2017, not the 2026 POP MART event. Event details may change.
