Latest Update
The Snowman comes to the Peacock Theatre in London from 21 November 2026 to 3 January 2027 in a brand-new production from Birmingham Repertory Theatre, presented by Sadler’s Wells and Birmingham Rep.
Based on Raymond Briggs’ much-loved book, the production features Howard Blake’s score, including Walking in the Air, alongside puppetry, dance and theatrical storytelling.
Overview
The story follows a young boy whose snowman magically comes to life. Together they set off on a winter adventure, meeting Father Christmas, reindeer and a gathering of snow people beneath the Northern Lights.
This 2026 production is a new staging rather than simply a return of the previous version, making it a useful one to flag for families who already know the story.
Creative Team
The production is directed and choreographed by Olivier Award-winning Will Tuckett, with production design by Anna Fleischle and puppet design by Tahra Zafar. Music and libretto are by Howard Blake, based on the book by Raymond Briggs.
