Emerald Theatre is one of London’s newer West End venues, sitting on Victoria Embankment close to Embankment and Charing Cross. Its programme mixes theatre with drag, cabaret, nightlife and alternative live performance, which makes it a useful venue to keep on the Clarissa’s Corner radar.
Last checked: 23 September 2026. This is an evergreen guide and will be updated as Emerald announces new productions and 2027 dates.

2027 at Emerald Theatre
Jack and the Beanstalk continues until 10 January 2027. A wider 2027 Emerald Theatre programme has not yet been confirmed through the official sources checked for this update, so I’ll add further dates here as they are announced rather than filling the page with rumours.
Previously at Emerald Theatre
Emerald has already become a useful home for some of the more glamorous and alternative strands of London performance. Previous Clarissa’s Corner connections include Diamonds & Dust, TuckShop’s Snow White and Category Is: Macbeth.
For more on the burlesque side of the venue’s story, read Dita Von Teese, Burlesque and the Art of After Dark.
Drag, cabaret and alternative performance
Emerald’s mix of theatre, drag, cabaret and late-night performance fits neatly alongside Clarissa’s Corner’s year-round queer and alternative theatre coverage. TuckShop in particular has appeared across the archive through productions including Who’s Holiday and Cool Rider.
