Pikachu Art Adventure at Ightham Mote 2026: Pokémon Trail, Dates & Tickets

Pokémon fans, there’s another one for the autumn list. The Pikachu Art Adventure has arrived at National Trust’s Ightham Mote in Kent, turning a visit to the medieval moated manor into a hunt for 30 different pieces of Pikachu artwork.

Running from 1 October to 1 November 2026, the trail is part of the Pokémon Trading Card Game’s 30th anniversary celebrations and is included with normal admission to Ightham Mote.

Quick Look

  • Times: 10am–5pm; National Trust recommends arriving by 3.30pm to allow time to complete the trail

  • What to find: 30 Pikachu artworks by 30 illustrators

What Is the Pikachu Art Adventure?

The adventure takes families around Ightham Mote looking for 30 different Pikachu trading-card artworks, each created by a different illustrator. Along the way there are opportunities to discover more about the artwork and Pikachu, before having a go at designing your own Pikachu trading card.

It’s a rather lovely combination if you have a Pokémon fan in the family but also fancy an autumn wander somewhere with a bit of history behind it. Ightham Mote itself is a medieval moated manor house surrounded by gardens and countryside, so this can easily become more than a quick trail visit.

How Much Does It Cost?

There is no extra charge for the Pikachu Art Adventure, but normal admission to Ightham Mote applies. National Trust members can visit under their usual membership arrangements. Admission prices can change, so check the National Trust booking information before travelling rather than relying on an old price.

Accessibility

This is an indoor and outdoor adventure. An important thing to know before visiting is that some of the Pikachu cards are displayed upstairs in the house, and there is no step-free access to the upper floor.

The ground floor of the house is accessible and there is an accessible route through the garden. If someone in your group has specific access requirements, check the latest Ightham Mote accessibility information or contact the property before travelling.

More Pokémon Adventures

This isn’t the only Pokémon trail around at the moment. London’s Science Museum is also running a free Pokémon Space Trail from October 2026 into January 2027, featuring Pokémon-themed stops, installations and photo opportunities alongside real space and science stories.

The Pikachu Art Adventure is also appearing at a selection of other National Trust properties around the UK, so I’ll be keeping an eye on the wider programme for anyone looking for one closer to home.

Details checked 7 October 2026. Dates, opening arrangements and admission information can change, so always check the National Trust before travelling.

Planning another Ightham Mote visit? The National Trust has a separate Christmas programme from 21 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, with decorated rooms and a festive trail. This is not part of the Pikachu Art Adventure. See the official Christmas details and our Christmas days-out guide for a comparison with other Kent properties.
