On the SL4? Have a Mooch: Things to Do Along London Superloop Route SL4

On the SL4?
Have a Mooch.

The SL4 runs between Canary Wharf and Grove Park through the Silvertown Tunnel, with limited stops including Blackheath and Lee. That makes it a very handy cross-river mooch without pretending it stops at every neighbourhood in between.

Routes and accessibility can change. Last transport check: 21 September 2026.

Get off here 📍 Canary Wharf

The northern terminus gives the route a useful cross-river connection and plenty to wander around before heading south.

  • 🌊 Canary Wharf’s docks and public spaces make an easy free wander.
  • 🚇 Jubilee, Elizabeth line and DLR connections make this a useful interchange as well as a destination.

Get off here 📍 Blackheath

One of the best Clarissa’s Corner stops on the SL4: village mooching, green space and culture.

  • 🌳 Blackheath Common — free and very easy to combine with the village.
  • 🎭 Blackheath Halls for music, theatre and family programming.
  • ☕ Blackheath Village for cafés and independent shops.

Get off here 📍 Lee

Lee gives the route a properly local South East London stop rather than making this purely a big-hub guide.

  • 🌳 Local green spaces and neighbourhood wandering.
  • 🚌 Use Lee for local connections towards Lewisham and surrounding areas; check the exact stop because the SL4 is limited-stop.

KEEP GOING →

Get off here 📍 Grove Park

The southern terminus is useful for National Rail and local bus connections, and gives you a jumping-off point for the wider Lewisham/Bromley edge.

  • 🚆 Grove Park station for National Rail connections.
  • 🌳 For a bigger nearby green-space day, Beckenham Place Park is one of Clarissa’s Corner’s wider borough picks — plan the onward connection separately.
