Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster, disco and a gloriously camp new musical? Monsters: A Killer New Musical Comedy is heading to The Other Palace this October for its world premiere concert performance, bringing a familiar collection of classic monsters together for a very different kind of night out.
With an original pop-rock and disco-inspired score, horror-comedy energy and a story centred on identity, transformation and chosen family, this is one new musical firmly on the Clarissa’s Corner spooky theatre radar.
Latest Update
Monsters: A Killer New Musical Comedy will receive its World Premiere Concert Performance at The Other Palace Studio in London on Friday 23 October 2026 at 8pm.
The concert follows a US development workshop in 2025 and a concept recording, giving UK audiences an early chance to discover the new musical as it continues its journey.
Overview
What happens when some of literature’s most famous monsters finally get to become the heroes of their own stories?
Monsters brings together characters including Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster, Lucy Westenra, Dracula’s Brides and the Invisible Man in a glitter-soaked musical comedy with an original score drawing on pop-rock and disco.
Beneath the outrageous comedy and supernatural chaos, the musical explores themes of identity, transformation, chosen family and finding the courage to embrace who you are.
In other words: classic Gothic characters, big vocals, horror, comedy and disco. It is a combination that feels made for spooky-season theatre.
Cast
The full cast has now been announced for the world premiere concert performance. Highlights include Anthonia Edwards as Nyx, Josh Spencer-Pepper as Count Dracula, Anna Robertson as Melinoë and Deon Adams as Abraham Van Helsing, alongside Lyndan Barclay, Madison Billly, Liam Braithwaite, Reece Ford, Finola Hedderman, Lisa Kirby, Joe Sutton and Elizabeth Victoria.
Cast details are correct at the time of writing and may be subject to change.

Why See It?
There are plenty of reasons this one caught our eye. It is an original new musical rather than another familiar jukebox title, and its mix of Gothic characters, pop-rock, disco and high-camp comedy gives it a very distinctive identity.
It also sits in a lovely crossover space for fans of theatre, horror and classic literature. Anyone who enjoys seeing familiar stories and characters reworked in unexpected ways should find plenty to be curious about here.
And with this being a world premiere concert performance, audiences have the chance to see the show at an early stage in its life — always one of the most interesting things about following new musical theatre.

If you have specific access requirements, it is always worth contacting the venue directly before booking so the team can confirm the most suitable seating and current arrangements.
Content Guidance
The production information currently advises audiences to expect strong language, sexual references, flashing lights, loud noises, theatrical violence and references to blood and horror.
Practical Information
The Other Palace is in central London, close to Victoria, making it straightforward to combine the performance with dinner, drinks or another London stop before the show.
As this is a single world premiere concert performance rather than a long run, booking ahead is sensible if it is already on your spooky-season theatre list.
